Rooted in the rich heritage of the family foundery in Tinchebray, Normandie, Poignées D’amour creates exceptional, handcrafted home hardware that sublimate our customers’ art of living.
Poignees d’Amour is dedicated to transforming spaces into experiences that celebrate the rich heritage of French Art-de-Vivre and artistic mastery. They aim to infuse the everyday with a pinch of beauty and emotional resonance.
Approach
For the Poignées D’amour project, we meticulously crafted a brand identity that captures the spirit of French craftsmanship and artistry. We designed the brand to embody a balanced blend of tradition and contemporary aesthetics, emphasising quality and authenticity.
Our approach was to encapsulate the essence of French Art-de-Vivre by drawing inspiration from a lineage that spans from Louis XIV to the Art Deco era. With careful consideration, every element of the brand—from visual themes to product design—evoked the opulence and elegance of French artistic heritage, while seamlessly incorporating modern functionality into each handcrafted piece.
By leveraging motifs from XVIII to mid-XX century French Arts Decoratifs and architectural details, along with classic typography and frames in a fresh, modern context, we created a visual language that honors both heritage and innovation. In every design decision, we aimed to reflect the brand’s dedication to timelessness, elevating the art of living through pieces that resonate deeply with tradition and modern sophistication.
